Janet Louise Ziemke

Janet was an active and loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife. She earned an Associates degree from Michigan State University, and it was there that she met her husband, the late Kenneth Conrad Ziemke. The two married in 1957 and were a devoted couple for 63 years.

While raising three children in Michigan, Janet studied nursing and worked as a nursing assistant in a doctor’s office. The family moved to Acton, Massachusetts in the early 1980s where Janet worked as a training manager for Digital Equipment Corporation (now part of Hewlett-Packard).

Janet was also an active volunteer, helping coordinate the first Baldwin County Senior Olympics when they lived in Georgia. She volunteered at the Eatonton, Georgia hospital, and she and Ken owned an Herbalife nutrition club. Janet enjoyed singing in her church choirs, played the piano, and enjoyed cooking.

Janet is survived by her three children Steven Karl Ziemke, Kathryn Jo (Kish) Ziemke, and Douglas Eric Ziemke, as well as seven Grandchildren and four Great-grandchildren.
