Jerry passed away peacefully at his home in Morrison after a battle with cancer. His last days were spent surrounded by family, friends, and his dog, Scout. Jerry was born to Willard C. Howard and Helen Mae Kishler in Fremont, Ohio. He was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School (1957) in Toledo, Ohio and of The Ohio State University (1961). Jerry worked for most of his life as a custom home builder and in real estate.
He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Huffman Howard, a brother W. Kent Howard (Carolyn) Rockport, TX and a sister Sue Ann Howard, Port St. Locie, Fl. His children by a previous marriage are Kelly Fadl (Omar, children Clair & Libby), Burke, Va, Lisa Weimer (Dave, children Ryan, Katie & Grant) Carbondale, CO. Tamara Howard, Highlands Ranch, CO and William Howard (Anne, children Andrew & Peter) Denver, CO. He was a step father to Andrew Mauger (Laura) Littleton, CO, Jacob B Mauger (Laurie) Belmont, CA and was a Grampa to Auburne, Camden, Jacob, and Lachlan.
Jerry moved to Colorado in 1966 and fell under the spell of the mountains. He enjoyed skiing, white water canoeing, camping, sailing, travel, and cars… especially cars! He was a member of the Mile High Sunny Travelers and the Cadillac and LaSalle Club of the Rocky Mountain Region. His pride and joy was his 1950, black Cadillac. He loved his family, friends, his home and pets but always he was a “car guy”. Drive safely on your next adventure, Jerry.
