Born February 7, 1930, in Tribune, Kansas, to John Oscar Carlson and Ferne Elizabeth [Dossett] Carlson. John went Home to be with the Lord quietly in his sleep at age 94.6 years, after a long and challenging illness. John is survived by his son Ron Carlson (Edna), Twila Daleen Carlson, both of Kyle, Texas, and John Carlson (TerriLynn), of Keenesberg, Colorado, along with five grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters, Velma Carlson and Thelma Carlson of Longmont, Colorado, and Nathalie Roys Monger of Windsor, Colorado. He is predeceased by his sister, Selma Ray of Sun City, Arizona, and the love of his life, Marla Ann [Holmstedt] Carlson, (July 21, 1936 - August 21, 2006) of 51-1/2 years.
