John spent his early years in Divide, Colorado, until the age of three, when his family moved to Falcon, where he attended kindergarten through second grade. In 1992, they settled in Simla, Colorado, where John grew up and later graduated from Simla High School in 2001. He went on to attend Johnson & Wales University in Denver, earning a bachelor’s degree in international business.
John will be remembered for his thoughtful nature and his love of sharing meaningful experiences with others. He had a special gift for recommending great books and took joy in connecting with people through stories and ideas. He also had a deep appreciation for music, especially songs with meaningful lyrics, often sharing those that spoke to him and resonated with life’s deeper moments.
John loved playing his guitars and had a sense of humor about it, often joking about not being able to play his electric guitar in the house. He valued his friendships deeply and kept in close touch with friends from his school years. Some of his favorite times were spent playing in golf tournaments with those friends.
The most important day in John’s life was the birth of his son, Bo John Davis, born in 2021. He was a devoted and loving father, and his son meant everything to him.
John is survived by his son, Bo John Davis; his parents, Larry and Rhonda Davis; his sister, Diana Davis; his wife, Blaire Davis; and his stepsons, Chase and Graham.
A celebration of life will be held on May 30, 2026 at Swink Hall at the El Paso County Fair Grounds from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
John will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
