Joyce Cecilia Conklin

Born on September 3, 1939, in Denver, Colorado, Joyce spent most of her life in the state she proudly called home. Affectionately known as “Joycee” by her great-grandchildren, she dedicated her life to her husband, her three daughters, and the family she treasured above all else.

Joycee shared 68 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, John “Jack” Conklin. Following Jack's passing just six and a half months earlier, she often spoke of her longing to reunite with him in Heaven. She would lovingly say she planned to spend her 87th birthday with him. Her wish was fulfilled when she peacefully passed away just three days before that birthday.

Known for her gentle spirit, kind heart, and deep faith in God, Jesus, and Mother Mary, Joyce found joy in attending Celtic Mass, gathering for Sunday brunches, and spending time with those she loved.

She is survived by her daughters, Terri (John) Armstrong and Mary Elizabeth "Liz" (Bill) Stenzel; son-in-law, Gary Hubbard; brother, Dean Hastings (Faye); nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and many cherished nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Conklin; her parents, Cecil Swearengen and Mary Anna Johnson; her daughter, Tamara "Tammy" Hubbard; her grandsons, Charles Colvin and Garrett Hubbard; and her sisters, Mary Evelyn and Janet "Lee."

Joycee leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and family that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

After a lifetime spent side by side, their hearts are together again. A private memorial celebrating the lives, love, and legacy of Joyce and Jack will be held at a later date.
