June F. Phillips

“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” Revelations 21:4.

Born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin on April 7, 1926 June Faith Imogene Rigby was born to the proud parents of Emma Lelia Hare Rigby and James William Rigby. She went to be with the Lord on August 31, 2012. She was one of 13 children.

June married her loving husband Lee K. Phillips of 40 years on December 24, 1972.

She had 3 children- Leo Roy Black born on May 23, 1953, Crystal Marie Black Doggett born on January 27, 1958 and Dawn Rose Black Torres born May 14, 1959 who preceded her to Heaven on October 25, 2011.

She is survived with 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

June had an unwavering and passionate faith in our Father in Heaven and was not afraid to share it with anyone she knew or met. She loved to sit down with a hot cup of tea and visit with family and friends while playing card or board games. She also enjoyed gathering around the piano while she played to sing gospel songs. She was always willing to lend an ear or helping hand to someone in need.

She will be sorely missed by all those who knew and loved her.
