

She was the last surviving child of five children. Raised on a farm in South Dakota, she married Lloyd Bick on July 22, 1947 and they were married for 56 years until the passing of Lloyd in 2003. They moved to Colorado in 1955 and remained in Colorado for the duration of their lives, raising their family. Laurel was a housewife and devoted mother, always putting her children first.
Laurel loved to fish, garden, can her own vegetables and fruit, make jelly and bake. She loved family gatherings and cherished her time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
After breaking her hip in June of 2013, Laurel went to Life Care of Littleton and spent the remainder of her days there. Laurel had many family visitors and enjoyed playing Bingo and attending many of their crafts and events, even being serenaded by Gino with “After the Lovin”.
Preceding her in death was her husband Lloyd Bick as well as two sons, Arnold Gabriel and Darrell Bick, two daughter-in-laws Janie Gabriel and Bertie Bick and granddaughter Debbie Bouters. She is survived by her daughters Marlene Tiffany (Terry) and Karlene Martin (Steve), daughter-in-law, Debbie Gabriel, and grandchildren Eric Gabriel, Cindy Braun (Alex) Kim Connell (Loren), Chris Tiffany (Cori), Robert Martin (Tamara), Bryce Martin, Billy Smulders, 14 great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
