He is survived by his loving sons, Taylor Stevens, and Chris Stevens; his daughters-in-law, Amanda Stevens and JoAnn Stevens; and his cherished grandchildren, Ariana Stevens, Scott Stevens, and Jack Stevens. His family was the center of his life, and he took great pride in watching them grow and thrive.
After graduating from Western Michigan University, Leigh spent time serving in the peace corps and was stationed in Iran. After living in Iran for two years, he spent some time in Big Sur, CA and then later moved to New York City to start his career in finance.
Leigh enjoyed a successful and respected career on Wall Street, where he became known for his work in technical analysis. His insight, discipline, and passion for the markets earned him the admiration of colleagues and peers alike. He even wrote a book on the subject titled “Essential Technical Analysis.”
Outside of his professional life, Leigh embraced the simple joys that made life meaningful. He had a deep love for cooking, often making elaborate stir fry dishes in his Wok. Leigh loved to watch movies and took pride in his DVD collection. He enjoyed watching the Broncos on Sunday afternoon with his two sons and found peace in long walks and a good book. He especially treasured time spent in Carmel and Big Sur, where he felt most at home.
Leigh was very spiritual having spent the past 40+ years working with the Arica School, a contemporary spiritual group. Leigh had countless different meditation routines that he practiced daily.
Above all, Leigh will be remembered as a kind, steady, and caring man—a devoted father and a proud grandfather. His warmth, wisdom, and quiet strength will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the lives of those he loved.
