Les was born on August 5, 1941, in Alexandria, Minnesota, to Earl and Martha (Meyer) Nack. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church. In 1950, his family moved to Englewood, Colorado, where he attended Immanuel Lutheran School and later graduated from Englewood High School in 1959.
On February 20, 1960, Les married his high school sweetheart, Norma (Pasqua) Nack. Together they built a life centered on love, hard work, and family, raising three children: Kristie, Lori, and Dale. Les and Norma shared sixty-six wonderful years of marriage.
Les was known for his incredible work ethic, beginning his working life at just 12 years old. He remained dedicated throughout his life, continuing to work at the age of 84 while running the business he and Norma founded together in 1983.
Les had a deep love for the outdoors and cherished time spent elk hunting and for many years he organized elk camps for family and close friends. Because Les was known for his luxurious hunting accommodation, his Tennessee companions nick-named him the manager of the Beaver Creek Hilton. He was an avid supporter of local sports, following teams from Little League through high school, college, and the professional level. His favorite sports team was the Denver Broncos. He, along with his wife, Norma were devoted season ticket holders for over forty years. In 1987, they were fortunate enough to attend Super Bowl 21 when the Broncos played in Pasadena, CA. They were also Denver Nugget season ticket holders for many years. Les not only enjoyed the games, but he also enjoyed making memories with his family and his friends. Les also enjoyed shooting professional firework shows each year, playing poker, fishing, and tending to his garden. His greatest joy and strength in life came from his unwavering love for his family and friends.
A devoted member of his community, Les was actively involved both locally and nationally. He began his service as an Englewood Jaycee. He held many leadership positions and received many awards for his service. He also became a lifetime member of the Jaycees as a JCI (Jaycee International) senator.
Les is survived by his beloved wife, Norma; his three children, Kristie (Bob), Lori (Greg), and Dale (Susie); his five grandchildren, Ashlie (Scott), Cody, Justin (Sasha), Bug, and Mason; and his eight great-grandchildren, Isa, Chia, Caleb, Laramie, Amos, Teddy, Lawson, and Silas. He is also survived by his sisters, Janette and Judy (Gary), sister-in-law Joanne along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Martha; his brother, Lyle; his sisters, Joyce, Janice, and niece, Rhonda.
Les’ legacy will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew him and loved him. The family extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who has offered love, support, and prayers during this time of loss.
A memorial service and celebration of life will be held Friday, March 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Olinger Chapel Hill located at 6601 South Colorado Blvd., Centennial, Colorado. Lunch will be provided after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) in honor of Les’s love for the outdoors or charity of your choice. Thank you.
