Lewie was born on January 21, 1952 in Damar, Kansas to Francis and Margaret St. Peter. The family moved to Aurora, Colorado in 1960, where he was raised. He then enlisted in the United States Navy in 1970. After serving his country, his work life consisted of running a small auto upholstery business with his wife Jean, while also working for PCA. He retired from PCA in 2016. On September 3, 1977, he married Patricia Jean Solano in Denver, Colorado. They raised two children, Christine and Jess.
Lewie loved working on projects and cars in his garage, especially his 57 Chevy and his last great accomplishment, the motorhome. He had a passion for music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed going on fishing trips, especially to be the cook. He was known for his sense of humor, his infectious laugh and his lasting impression on everyone.
Lewie lived his life to the fullest with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all those he touched. Lewie is preceded in death by his father, Francis St. peter. He is survived by his wife Jean, two children Christine and Jess, two grandchildren Leandra and Jay-Jay. His mother Margaret, and six brothers Mike, Rob, Gale, Terry, Martin and Mark.
A funeral service will be held on April 17, 2021, at Olinger Chapel Hill located at 6601 S. Colorado Blvd., Centennial, CO 80121. Viewing will be held from 2:00-2:45pm with the Funeral Service with military honors beginning at 2:45pm.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the family has decided to not have a reception following the service. The family has requested that no flowers be sent for the services.
