Lidia Mendoza

With profound gratitude to God for her life and deep honor for her legacy, we announce the passing of Lidia Mendoza de Tomita, a faithful servant of the Lord, a loving wife, devoted mother, loving grandmother, and a gracious and affectionate mother-in-law. She departed to be with our Lord in peace, surrounded by the love of her family, on November 1, 2025.

Lidia was a woman of unwavering faith and a noble heart. Her life was a living testament to the love of Christ, always dedicated to prayer, the Word of God, and service to others. In every stage of her life, her commitment to the Gospel was steadfast, and her greatest desire was always the salvation of souls and the spiritual well-being of all those around her.

She was a faithful and devoted wife, deeply committed to the care and honor of her husband. Her love and dedication were constant, reflecting a marriage based on faith, respect, and mutual commitment. As a mother, she raised her children with patience, wisdom, and prayer, instilling in them a love for God and the value of living with purpose and faith.

As a grandmother, she offered pure and protective love, always present for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with prayers, advice, hugs, and, of course, her lovingly prepared meals. To her daughters-in-law and sons-in-law, she was a gift—a second mother—sharing the same affection, support, and care she gave to her own children. Her love was expressed through her hands and her heart: cooking, praying, teaching, and ensuring everyone was nourished in both body and spirit.

Her kitchen was her ministry, and her home was a haven where there was always a warm meal, a word of faith, or a heartfelt prayer. She lived her faith practically, serving with humility and leaving a mark of kindness on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Although we humans mourn her passing, we now celebrate her life, her faith, and the crown of righteousness she now receives in the presence of our Lord. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her family and in every soul she touched with her love and faith.

We are comforted by God's eternal promise, and we remember the word in 2 Timothy 4:8, which says:

“Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.”

She fought the good fight. She kept the faith. And now she rests in the glory of the Lord.

Her love, her example, her legacy, and her prayers will remain forever in our hearts.

Rest in peace, beloved daughter of God.

Con gran gratitud a Dios por su vida y con profundo honor por su legado, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Lidia Mendoza de Tomita, una sierva fiel del Señor, esposa amorosa, madre dedicada, abuela entregada y suegra llena de gracia y cariño. Partió a la presencia de nuestro Señor en paz, rodeada del amor de su familia, el 1.º de noviembre de 2025.

Lidia fue una mujer de fe inquebrantable y de corazón noble. Su vida fue un testimonio vivo del amor de Cristo, siempre dedicada a la oración, a la palabra de Dios y al servicio a los demás. En cada etapa de su vida, su compromiso con el Evangelio fue firme y su mayor anhelo siempre fue la salvación de las almas y el bienestar espiritual de todos los que la rodeaban.

Fue una esposa fiel y devota, profundamente comprometida con el cuidado y la honra de su esposo. Su amor y dedicación fueron constantes, reflejando un matrimonio basado en la fe, el respeto y la entrega mutua. Como madre, crio a sus hijos con paciencia, sabiduría y oración, inculcándoles el amor por Dios y el valor de vivir con propósito y con fe.

Como abuela, ofreció un amor puro y protector, siempre presente para sus nietos y bisnietos con oraciones, consejos, abrazos y, por supuesto, sus comidas llenas de amor. Para sus nueras y yernos, fue un regalo — una segunda madre — compartiendo el mismo cariño, apoyo y cuidado que regaló a sus propios hijos. Su manera de amar se expresaba con sus manos y su corazón: cocinando, orando, enseñando y asegurándose de que todos estuvieran alimentados tanto en cuerpo como en espíritu.

Su cocina era su ministerio y su hogar era un refugio donde siempre había un plato caliente, una palabra de fe o una oración sincera. Ella vivió su fe de forma práctica, sirviendo con humildad y dejando una huella de bondad en cada persona que tuvo el privilegio de conocerla.

Aunque como humanos lloramos su partida, ahora celebramos su vida, su fe y la corona de justicia que ahora recibe en la presencia de nuestro Señor. Su legado vivirá en los corazones de su familia y en cada alma que tocó con su amor y su fe.

Nos conforta la promesa eterna de Dios, y recordamos la palabra en 2 Timoteo 4:8, que dice:

“ Por lo demás, me está guardada la corona de justicia, la cual me dará el Señor, juez justo, en aquel día; y no solo a mí, sino también a todos los que aman su venida.”

Ella peleó la buena batalla. Ella guardó la fe. Y ahora descansa en la gloria del Señor.

Su amor, su ejemplo y sus oraciones quedarán para siempre en nuestros corazones.

Descansa en paz, amada hija de Dios.
