Lori Ann Gail Johnson, 71, passed away peacefully on September 14, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado. Lori was born on November 9, 1954, in Denver, Colorado grew up in Southeast Denver with her parents, James and Charlene Gail her sisters, Linda (Jones) and Lisa (Irving) and her brother, Jim Gail. After graduating from George Washington High School in 1972, she earned a degree in Food Science and Nutrition from Colorado State University in 1976. She devoted her entire career to Lutheran Hospital, beginning in food services and later moving into human resources. Her commitment to others extended throughout her community: she was a longtime, active member of PEO; a devoted supporter of the Arvada Center, where she held season tickets every year; and a member of Good News Bible Church in Broomfield, where she participated in a home group, women’s Bible study, and the prayer team. Lori also delighted in planning and taking cruises, especially when they gave her an opportunity to wear her sparkly dresses, jewelry, and tiara.
Lori was especially devoted to her mother and faithfully cared for her to the end of Charlene’s life. Lori loved her siblings and their spouses and always enjoyed being a part of their lives. She also loved being an aunt to her 12 nieces and nephews. She was often reserved in talking about herself but always took a great interest in what everyone else was doing. Lori will be greatly missed, but we rejoice knowing that she is now with Jesus and back together with her mother.
