Pat was born on February 20, 1946, in Colorado to Louis and Irene Kelly. He grew up alongside his brother, Virgil Kelly, and sister, Norma Mason, both of whom preceded him in death.
Pat spent many years working in the appliance industry before retiring, taking pride in his work, where he built a respected career. While he valued his career, his greatest joy was always his family. Whether it was a holiday gathering, a family visit, or simply sharing stories and laughter, Pat treasured every opportunity to spend time with the people he loved most.
He will be remembered for his kind and caring nature, his special affection for the family pets, and of course, his enjoyment of classic western movies.
He is survived by his daughter, Judith Sterrett and husband Scott; his grandchildren, Chelsie Irsik and husband Jacob, Cameron Wills, Stephanie Sterrett, and Blake Sterrett and wife Gemma; and his great-grandchildren, Graysen, Noah, Miles, Charles, Zachary, and Emmylou.
Pat was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janet Kelly; his son, John Kelly; his grandson, Dalton Kelly; his parents, Louis and Irene Kelly; his brother, Virgil Kelly; and his sister, Norma Mason.
Pat’s love, kindness, and devotion to his family will be deeply missed. The lessons he taught, the memories he helped create, and the love he shared will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his family finds comfort in knowing that his love will remain with them always.
The family wishes to thank Olinger Funeral, Cremation & Cemetery – Chapel Hill for their care and compassion.
