Lynne Elaine Dissette, beloved mother, sister, and friend, passed away on November 22, 2025 at the age of 69. Born on May 29, 1956, in Manchester, Iowa, she lived in Kenosha, Wisconsin as a child and for many years in Littleton, Colorado, where she built a life filled with learning and creativity. Lynne’s marriage to Steve Dissette, from 1975 to 1987, was blessed with the birth of their daughter Laurel in 1984.
Lynne worked as a Cartographer, in the field of environmental remediation. Her career evolved with her sharp mind, joy of learning and keen attention to detail. And she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree, in 2002.
Lynne advanced her skills, with CAD, Geographic Information Systems, and Software Programming; blending her love of nature, science, art and technology.
Outside of work, she loved sewing, knitting, and needlepoint, and
found joy in creating beautiful things with her hands. She liked getting outdoors, and loved going on a raft trip down the Yampa and Green Rivers from Colorado into Utah with classmates in high school.
Lynne also adventured locally, enjoying may group trips, and road
trips with family. She avidly enjoyed documentaries—especially those by Ken Burns—loved visiting national parks, and enjoyed the music of Katy Perry, Aerosmith, The Guess Who, Lobo, Cat Stevens, John Denver, and the Bee Gees.
Lynne was interested in genealogy, and she joined her father Lee in
tracing the family tree back many generations. She especially enjoyed her visits to the Monterey Bay Aquarium, off the Pacific Coast. She cared deeply about the marine and ocean environments and followed conservation efforts with passion. Lynne and family enjoyed one of her last outings to the Denver Aquarium, together. Lynne’s ashes will rest peacefully, in the coral reef memorial habitat restoration effort, off the Florida Coast.
Lynne is survived by her daughter, Laurel Dissette; her sister, Sheila
Ware; her brother, Kerry Conner, as well as nephew Jake Brantley and niece Erin Conner. She was preceded in death by her brothers Tim Conner and Dan Conner, and her parents, Jan McCalmont and Lee Conner.
She will be remembered for her warmth, curiosity, and gentle strength. She will be deeply missed.
