Macaulay loved his friends and family. Described by many as the nicest person the ever new. He was kind, gentle, a good listener and met the world with an unselfish and open heart.
Macaulay enjoyed playing sports throughout his youth. He lettered in Football at both Chatfield High School and Cheshire Academy. He also played rugby, as well as little league baseball.
He loved music, was a self-taught drummer and played guitar. He became the drummer for the band Black Mople, who celebrated their first album release on Spotify this past May.
Macaulay had multiple careers including being a host home provider helping those with special needs. He enjoyed his time driving over the road for Werner Enterprises seeing all parts of the country. He loved driving along the foothills of the Rocky Mountains as a bus driver for the City of Fort Collins.
He is survived by father Bruce, mother Leslie, sister Riley, grandfather Fouad Hassan and preceded in death by his grandmother Nancy Hassan, grandfather, Jordan Wank and grandmother Toby Wank.
A celebration of life memorial for Macaulay will be held Thursday, July 11, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Olinger Mount Lindo Cemetery, 5928 S Turkey Creek Rd, Morrison, CO 80465, followed by a celebration reception from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM.
We are strongly encouraging everyone to carpool for there is limited parking and we are expecting a large group of friends and family. We also strongly encourage nice comfortable shoes due to the terrain of where we will be placing Macaulay.
Please be aware that going up to the top of Mount Lindo there are a lot of switchbacks and that distance from the road to the top is about 1.7 miles long and a slow drive. Please plan accordingly and make sure you give yourself plenty of time to get there to avoid having to rush up the mountain.
