Nancy Ailene (Johns) Rogers of Centennial Colorado, born December 27, 1938 and died July 8, 2026. Nancy was born in Lawrence Kansas, the oldest daughter to Donald and Mary Johns. She was preceded in death by her husband Byron G Rogers, Jr (1981). She is survived by her sister JoAnn Savacool (Ken), sons Mark (Stephanie), Gregg (Terri), Paul (Margaret). She had 3 nephews, 1 niece, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and cousins.
After raising her three boys to school age, she returned to work. She worked for Columbine High School as a Librarian. She was a court clerk for District Court Judge Richard Turelli. She was the Jury Commissioner for Arapahoe County. She retired after 20 years of service to the Arapahoe County Community.
Nancy always had a circle of friends wherever she went. Everywhere she lived, she made friends with whoever was there. As her sister JoAnn said, "She could make friends with a tree."
Nancy liked to travel and enjoyed her trips to Europe, and Taos and other places in New Mexico, as well as other places around the United States. She loved to go to Palisades, CO for their world-famous peaches. She liked to drink wine with her friends, read voraciously, and liked to quilt. She was also well known for tripping and falling over her own feet no matter where she was.
She also loved her dogs - her poodle, Lily, and more recently her mini schnauzer, Lucy.
Nancy indicated during the time leading up to her death that she was prepared to go and knew that "God had a plan" for her.
