It is with deep sorrow and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Neil Richard Dailey (Dick), a devoted husband, beloved father, cherished grandfather/great-grandfather and wonderful friend, who left us peacefully on July 12, 2025, at the age of 93.
Born in South Haven, MI, Dick lived a life marked by integrity, service, and deep love for his family. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean War, embodying courage and dedication that would continue to define him after his time in uniform.
In 1955, Dick married the love of his life, Lois, beginning a partnership that spanned nearly seven decades. Together, they built a family grounded in faith, hard work, and unconditional love. He was a proud father, grandfather and great-grandfather who always made time for his family, no matter how demanding life became. His quiet strength and enduring support were constants in the lives of those who loved him.
Dick served the state of Michigan with honor as a State Police Trooper and retired as Detective Sergeant. After his retirement from the State Police, he worked as Head of Security for Total Petroleum, which brought him and Lois to Denver. His work was driven by a strong sense of duty and justice, and he was respected by colleagues and the community alike.
Throughout his life, Dick always found time for the hobbies he loved most—fishing, boating, and sailing. He found joy in the great outdoors, especially while hunting upland game or relaxing by the water. A true sports fan, he rarely missed a game and shared his enthusiasm with family and friends.
In retirement, Dick and Lois moved to Green Valley, AZ, where he enjoyed golfing and time together with Lois and friends.
Those who knew Dick will remember his quiet wisdom, his unwavering sense of responsibility, and his deep commitment to those he held dear. He worked tirelessly to provide for his family and lived a life that reflected honor, humility, and compassion.
Dick is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Dailey, his parents Neil and Marion Dailey and his brother David Dailey.
