Nila Arlene Baradan was born in Logan, Utah. She was the third of five children born to Wesley Griffin Malmberg and Viola Juanita Sparks. Her father was the Sheriff of Cache County for 27 years. She attended Utah State University earning her a Bachelor’s degree with double minors in Business Education and Accounting. Nila loved to travel to interesting and unique places such as Alaska, Prague, Europe, Africa and Jamaica to name a few. She loved music and was a very accomplished in playing the piano and organ.
Nila is survived by her children and their families; Ms. Susan Nicholas, Dr. and Mrs. Steven C. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Smith, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and siblings Mardell Cook and John Malmberg.
Her Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10 am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel at 1939 E. Easter Ave Centennial, Colorado 80122. Interment will be at the Clarkson Cemetery in Clarkson, Utah.
