

Norman was born June 20, 1930 in Lihue, Kauai to Clarence and Mabel Wiebke. He had two older brothers, Clarence and Gene. After high school, Norman served in the US Army. Upon completing his service, he and his high school sweetheart Harue “Honey" ljima settled in Colton, CA. They were married in 1956. They had been married for 60 years when Honey passed away in 2016. Their family soon expanded to include a daughter and son. Many holidays and summers were spent camping, fishing and visiting family and friends across the United States as a family.
Norman spent 29 years as a firefighter and fire inspector with the City of Colton fire department. After retiring, he and Honey moved to Grand Junction, Colorado where according to Norman they would enjoy the clean air and cooler winters. Norman enjoyed freshwater and deep sea fishing, golfing and gardening during retirement. He was lucky enough to travel to Alaska with son, Eric twice for fishing. Norman and Honey enjoyed many activities together including hosting events for Hawaiian students attending college near by and traveling, especially to Las Vegas.
Norman leaves behind his daughter Wanda of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, son Eric (Marcella) of Frisco, Texas, brother Gene of Scottsdale, AZ, one grandson, 3 nieces and a nephew.
