Patricia "Pat" Litson, 85, of Centennial, Colorado, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2026, at Sky Ridge Hospital following a battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends and held in the arms of her loving husband as she passed.
Pat was born January 8, 1941, in Woodward, Oklahoma, and grew up in Mutual, Oklahoma, raised by her mother, Elsie, and her stepfather, Lloyd Atwell. She went on to attend Enid Business College. On October 6, 1962, she married David "Dave" Litson in Enid, Oklahoma. Not long after, the young couple moved to Englewood, Colorado, where they began building the life they would share for more than six decades.
Over the years, Pat worked a number of jobs to support her family, including as an accountant at Cherry Hills Country Club. She, along with her husband, worked incredibly hard to support both their kids and their parents.
In retirement, Pat and Dave saw the world together, taking cruises to countries all over the world. Pat was also very involved at South Suburban Church, where she was an active member of the women's group, and volunteered faithfully as giving her time to others was simply who she was.
Those who knew Pat will remember her laugh and the joy she carried with her. She had a gift for making everyone she met feel welcome, and she was generous to everyone she met. She loved Snickers bars, Elvis, and curling up under a blanket with a good book. She also loved French vanilla coffee creamer, which she insisted tasted just like melted ice cream. And, she could never pass up a good bargain. It is difficult to sum up the beautiful person Pat was in just a few words, and those who knew her will carry her memory with them.
Pat is survived by her husband of 65 years, David "Dave" Litson, who still resides in Centennial, CO. She is also survived by their sons, Steven "Steve" Litson and Jeffrey "Jeff" Litson and his wife, Mary Litson. Pat and Dave’s four grandchildren are Sarah Litson and Erika Litson (daughters of Jeff and Mary) as well as Kaylin Litson and Zane Litson (daughter and son of Steve).
A viewing will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 26, at Olinger Chapel Hill, followed by a burial service at 2:00 p.m. Pat will be laid to rest in the "Last Supper" section, beside her father. Those wishing to send flowers or cards, or to share a memory of Pat, may contact Olinger Chapel Hill.
She was a wonderful daughter, mother, grandmother, and friend, and she will be dearly missed.
