

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Phyllis Joan (Shuker) Harrell, loving wife, mother and grandmother. Born on March 23, 1933, Phyllis lived a fulfilling and inspiring life before her departure from this world on February 7, 2025.
Phyllis was a cherished mother of two sons, Jeff (Kathy) and Jay (Brenda) Harrell, and ex-daughter-in-law Dora Harrell, who survive her and carry on her life’s legacy and teachings. Phyllis is also survived by multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis was predeceased by her beloved husband, Hugh Harrell. Their love story and shared memories continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew them. She was also predeceased by her daughter Jeanne, with whom she shared a love of crafting and caring for their poodle and shih tzu dogs.
Phyllis was a devout attendee at Arapahoe Road Baptist, Littleton CO, where she worked in the foodbank and taught Sunday school for a great many years. Teaching children about Jesus and serving her community were her hearts passion. Her faith was an inspirational trait, evident in her devotion to her favored book, The Bible, which guided her through her life's journey.
A loyal supporter of The Dallas Cowboys, Phyllis's spirited enthusiasm during game days will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her fellow fans and family members. Her hobbies included crafting and collecting, activities that she undertook with passionate commitment, injecting her unique creativity and meticulous attention to detail.
A keen traveler, Phyllis adored the rejuvenating beaches of Hawaii and the scenic views of Glorieta, NM. These favorite vacation spots brought her immense joy and comfort, and the memories made in these locations will forever be cherished by her loved ones.
Phyllis's life was a testament to devotion, love, and faith. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of everyone she knew and loved. As we remember her, we are reminded of the light she brought into our lives, and we celebrate the life she led.
