

Phyllis was born in the small farm town of Lexington Nebraska on July 24.1938. Phyllis had 2 brothers and 1 sister. She moved to Colorado as a young girl. Phyllis was an active young lady who was involved in 4H and was part of the Pep team at Arvada High School. Phyllis met her husband Jerry of 58 years while attending high school. Phyllis and Jerry married on August 31, 1958.
Phyllis and Jerry had 5 children, 1 son, and 4 daughters. Phyllis was a devoted mother, wife and grandmother who always put the needs of her family first and foremost. She spent many hours in ice skating rinks and ball fields supporting her children in their sports. Phyllis was a hockey mom as well as a figure skating mom where she was very involved. Phyllis started her career working in skating rinks at North Jeffco where she not only the cashier but learned to drive the Zamboni, she made excellent sheet of ice, in fact she was one of the best.
In 1976 the family moved To Littleton and she began her longtime career at South Suburban where she became the rink Mom to everyone there. Phyllis and Jerry even welcomed many additional figure skating children into their home when they needed a place to stay while training at South Suburban.
Phyllis had 6 grandchildren (4 grandsons and 2 granddaughters) who meant the world to her and they all adored her. She enjoyed spending time with them watching them grow up. She spent many hours going to games and watching school events whenever possible.
Phyllis was an avid Rockies and Avalanche fan that went to almost every home game from the very beginning.
Phyllis died after battling with cancer for almost 4 months. She will be missed by all, especially by her husband Jerry, children, and grandchildren.
