

Randal M. Kirk, Sr., beloved husband and father, passed to the Celestial Lodge on November 7, 2016 at the age of 65. He was born on January 29, 1951 in New Jersey, but spent most of his formative years in Midland, Texas and served as President of the Student Council of Lee High School. He attended and taught at the University of Salamanca, Spain. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa in 1973 and from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1976 where he served as the Articles Editor for the International Law Journal.
He began his legal career in Midland, Texas with the firm of Stubbeman McRae, Sealy Laughlin and Browder, was Executive Vice President of Flare, Inc., General Counsel of Trenstar, Inc. He was a partner with the law firm of Messner Reeves LLP and President of Luxtura, Inc. at his death. He was counsel for the Leede Companies and the Edward H. and Margaret Anne Leede family for many years.
He was raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on June 29, 2013 in East Denver Lodge #160 in Denver, Colorado. He was active in both the Scottish Rite and York Rite and affiliated as a member of Enlightenment Lodge #198 on November 3, 2013.
Randal was a true Renaissance Man, with an endless thirst for knowledge and implementation of the same.
He is survived by his wife Donna, his son Randal Kirk II, and his cousins Michael W. Morrow and Stephen K. Morrow.
Randal’s family cannot express sufficient gratitude for the kindness that so many have offered, but in particular, the Edward H. and Margaret Anne Leede family.
