

Richard Daniel Gillen (“rich”) passed away on May 13, 2026. He was a deeply loved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose presence filled every room with stories, laughter, and larger-than-life dreams.
Rich was a big dreamer with endless goals and aspirations, but above all else, he thrived on being a father. He loved each of his children fiercely, both biological and adopted , and took pride in the unique relationships he shared with all of them. Whether he was playing guitar with his son, spending hours playing video games with his other children, or making everyone around him laugh until their sides hurt, Rich brought warmth, humor, and love into the lives of the people closest to him.
He will be remembered for his quick stories, his fun-loving spirit, and the way he made people feel seen and welcomed. His love for music, family, and simply enjoying life will never be forgotten. And the love he gave to everyone brought into his family will live on endlessly.
Richard is survived by his children Richard Jacob Gillen, Maia Gillen, Wesley Gillen, Trenton Gillen, and Nasarrah Gillen; his daughters-in-law Victoria Irwin-Gillen and Katie Bogar; his sister Kim Muller; his brother-in-law Kevin muller and his grandchildren Aleasia Gillen and Amari Gillen.
He was deeply loved and will be missed beyond words by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
