Richard May

Richard May passed away on June 10,2022 after a lengthy illness.

Richard was born to Leslie and Hattie May on September 16,1938 in Rockford, Illinois.

Rich was a 3 year Navy veteran and a 3 year Naval reservist.

After leaving the Navy, Richard attending Tri Sate college in Angola Indiana where he received a Bachelor Degree in Businesses Administration. This is also where Richard and Carol met and got married. Richard and Carol celebrated their 59th Wedding Anniversary this year.

Richard wore many work hats, and enjoyed working. Richard was employed by ALCOA was transferred several times and ended up in Texas where they raised their 2 children. Richard came to Colorado in 1986 to help with his own Dad.

In his later years Richard did enjoy the Colorado outdoor weather,he was always a Big Broncos fan and enjoyed Colorado Rockies too.. He loved to read and enjoyed word search puzzles. Richard always loved the Holidays and especially looked forward to his Birthday each year the most! He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids. Richard and Carol also enjoyed their Schnoodle dog Daisy May. She was especially fond of Richard and he enjoyed her too.

Surviving family members, Wife, Carol Wilsey May , Daughter, Camille May King(Thomas) and son Justin May, Richard’s only sister Susan May Williams.

Grandchildren include: Austin May, Carleigh Kammerer, Hanna May,Aidan May, ,Lily May and Nathan Johnson.

Richard is preceded in death by his Parents

Leslie and Hattie May, Brother Robert May and Grandson Cody Paul Ruddick Scheurer.

A Celebration of life will be held at the Willow Creek 3 Clubhouse at 8091 East Phillips Circle this Sunday June 26, at 11 AM.
