Richard L. Miller passed from this life on June 23, 2025, in Denver, Colorado. Richard was a man of many passions—an animal lover, an exceptional tennis player, a devoted explorer of nature, and a scuba diving enthusiast. Richard found peace and inspiration in the mountains and deep joy in the culture and beauty of Italy. He was voracious reader and a brilliant, thoughtful soul, Richard touched the lives of many with his intelligence, and warmth.
Professionally, Richard spent much of his life as a successful sales executive, retiring in 2023. Retirement brought the opportunity to travel extensively with his wife, Kit, especially to Italy—a place dear to his heart. There, in Siena, he found a second home and a cherished, adopted Italian family who embraced him as one of their own, from the time he was age 22 until the present.
Richard is survived by his two beloved children: Olivia, of Northern Colorado, and Andrew, of Elk Grove, California. He is also survived by his brothers, Chuck Miller and his wife Melanie of Louisa, Virginia, and William and his wife Debra, of Dallas, Texas, as well as his loving wife, Kit Akers of Denver, Colorado.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life, followed by interment, will be held in the pavilion on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at 10:00am at
Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery and Mortuary
6601 S. Colorado Blvd.
