I am so sorry to hear of your fathers passing. He is a distant cousin to me, his mother Mary was my Grandmothers 1st cousin. my name is Shelley, I have met you when we were little and you came to visit in Toledo, Ohio. We were shocked to learn of Dick's death.  We were unaware he was ill at all.  Always the picture of health whenever we saw him.  Unfortunately, we were out of town at the time and unable to attend his service.  He was a great curling and Skimeister friend and always available with a helping hand.  Remember the good times.  He was a good man.

I so enjoyed biking with Dick.  For several years we would carpool to the Skimister biking gatherings every Monday during the summer.  Dick was always fun to be with and we had some great talks! Dick was always a inspiration to us.  When seeing him at the various ball games that he always was at we enjoyed talking to him about his latest activities. His constant bike riding and fitness regime would make you want to start working out so you could maybe be in the same shape someday that he was always in.  He will always be thought of at the softball games and baseball games that we watch the Brady kids in.  He will be missed.

Your father was a joy to know. He was a humble man who inspired us all to be charitable and serve our community. He did so many wonderful things for us at Rooney Ranch and became a valued member of our school community. He also rescued my family once with a refrigerator that I still have! Thank you for sharing him with us. His legacy will live on through you and your family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you today.

Dick was more than a friend to us.  He was "Uncle Dick" to our grandkids who spent many days playing with him at Lake Powell.  He was a generous helper with our SkiMeister Snowmass trips.  He was a great biker who never knew limits to riding with a friend.  We will miss him terribly.  Our deepest sympathy to all his family and many friends.

I was so sorry to hear about Dick. I have such fun memories of him in SkiMeisters--his big broad-brimmed hat on our Colorado River canoe trip, always a friendly smile in our downhill ski group at Winter Park, and speeding across the top of Grand Mesa to fetch the wine for our cross-country ski full moon party! He will be missed.
