To the family: I just heard about Bobs passing this weekend.  Although I haven't seen Bob in many years I often remember all of the fun and laughter we had while at LSU.    He was one of the nicest and funniest people I knew.  I have nothing but fond memories of him and his wit.  My prayers are with your  family.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter, saying goodbye - far too soon, to a friend, co-worker, and peer – Bob Charchenko.

At 46 years young, this is nothing short of a tragedy.   

Bob has represented Republic Bag since 2000, after a lunch meeting with my father, Dick Schroeder, and Bob in Denver, Colorado.  The agreement was based on a handshake – the way both of our organizations worked.  A “contract” was out of the question for both of us, and we all knew it would be a great partnership.  I cannot think of one situation where Bob was unreasonable.  He was steady in his job and efficient in his work.  

He was a bit of a “throw-back” sales rep, as he resisted the smart phone for as long as possible.  He was a relationship expert, and his style was perfect for our industry – people selling to people.   

I personally, have had numerous great times with Bob - dinners out at trade shows, lunches, and working together over the years.  Bob always had a positive outlook towards life.  Hospitable, personable, and dry sense of humor were a few of his wonderful traits.

We will miss Bob dearly, and appreciate everything he has done for our organization and for our clients.

Dear Lisa and Family and Friends of Bob, 

Please accept our most sincere apologies for your loss of a great husband, son, brother, grandson, nephew, friend and man. Though our friendship with Bob was only a few years, we are thankful for the time we were able to spend with him. He is and will always be a one of a kind with us! This photo was taken at halftime on Sunday, 9/30/12 at Bob's place, section 110 at Sports Authority Field at Mile High where we had hoped to meet that day. We will make it a point to drop by here at halftime indefinitely and pay tribute to Bob from now on. It won't be the same without him there, but we hope to see all of you, his family and friends every now and again. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Bobby and I were roommates at FLC our Freshman year.    I will always cherish the great times we had together during that year.    Bobby had a whit and charm that was truly infectious.  His love for telling stories and making everyone laugh was certainly his gift to all of us.  I am very lucky to have called him my friend.   My deepest condolences to his family.

I feel fortunate that the tears of sadness that I have shed pale in comparison to the tears of joy and laughter that I shared with Bobby throughout the years.   My thoughts and prayers go out to Mrs. Charchenko, his family and all that are grieving from his passing.   I look forward to celebrating his life and sharing the many memories we will all cherish because of someone so special.

Lisa and family, I am so sorry for your loss.  While its been many years since I have spoken with Bob, I have thought of him often since we were at LSU together.  I have many fond memories as I know we all do.

I have so many great memories of Bobby and am very sad about his passing.  My prayers and sympathy are with Lisa, his Mom, sisters, and extended family, and his close friends in Colorado.  I am blessed to have known him.  He will be missed.

I had the pleasure of meeting Bob through mutual friends in Las Vegas.  He was definitely a character, full of surprises, and always made us laugh.  You will be greatly missed Bob.  We'll always save your seat next to us for March Madness my friend.  May God bless you and your family.

I met Bobby in grade school, back at Lewis Ames in Littleton, and spent the rest of my childhood laughing at his antics and jealous of his outgoing demeanor and lack of self consciousness when he was just plain silly. The world is a better place from having Bobby here. My memories of him are a bright spot in my heart. May he rest in peace.
