Bob was a simple, caring man and was loved by all who he encountered. Bob served in the United States Army during World War II as a medical technician. After the war, he became a painter at the Oakland Port Authority where he worked until he retired and enjoyed a daily round of golf. Bob lived a full and warm life, filled with joy. He will be fondly remembered and sorely missed.
A private memorial will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
