Died of heart attack. Born to Ray & Martha Miner in K.C. Missouri. Volunteered for the Navy in WWII at age 17 before finishing high school. Received 2 degrees while in officer's training at Notre Dame - Bachelor's & Naval Engineering. Finished officer's training with a liberal arts degree at Park College, Park, MO. While there he met his wife, Beverly Gott. After getting a business degree from U of Kansas they were married in 1948.
They had 2 sons, Christian Robert & Shawn Mitchell (deceased) and a daughter, Lauren Miner (deceased).
Bob had a most successful career with IBM for 35 yrs. Following, he was still working, for Crestone Capital in Boulder as Director of Knowledge. He loved classical music, art, cars, trees, skiing, bird watching, etc.
Survived by son Dr. Chris Miner, his wife, Dr. Diana Miner, their sons Nicholas, Lucas & Julian, sister Mary Adair, 2 nephews, Kurt and Bryan & their children, grandson Liberty Robert, his dad Doug, wife of 68 years, and lifelong friends. He will be missed!
