Robert (Bob) Alan Moore passed away peacefully at home on November 6, 2025, at the age of 70 years old after a long battle with brain cancer. Despite a long, tough road with cancer, Bob walked the road with courage, perseverance and the hope of being with Jesus.
Bob was born March 25, 1955, in Pueblo, CO to Harold and Shirley Moore. The family soon moved to Wyoming, where Bob spent his childhood and early adulthood. Prior to going to college, he worked as a carpenter and later attended the University of Wyoming where he earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering and met the love of his life, Dottie.
Bob and Dottie were married on December 18, 1995, in Casper, WY. He became a stepfather to Wendy, Hollie and Matt, whom he loved and cared for as his own. For the first two years of their marriage, Bob worked with an engineering firm and lived in Colorado, while selflessly supporting Dottie to accomplish her goal of completing her degree in Wyoming. After Dottie’s graduation, she and Matt moved to Aurora, Colorado with Bob where they spent the remainder of their 32 years together.
Bob spent his career as a structural and forensic engineer. Along with his career, he was also an active member of his church community where he served as a deacon. Bob loved to ride his bike daily when the weather permitted, and had a passion for skiing with his brother Ron, Wendy and Matt. He always had a construction project he was working on at home or for others. He was incredibly generous with his time and skills and loved to help others. He enjoyed performing arts, often attending the Denver Ballet, Colorado Symphony Christmas concerts, plays and musicals at the high school, and movies at the theater. One of Bob’s greatest loves was dessert – particularly Dairy Queen. Above everything else, Bob loved spending time with his family – his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Dottie; daughters Wendy (Lee) and Hollie and son Matt (Lacey); grandchildren Emily (Ryan), Zach (Rachel), Zane, Gabriella, Liliana and Lydia; great-grandchildren Charlie, Bella, Brielle, Brantley, Luciano; his sisters Debbie (Tom) and Judy (Tim), and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Harold and Shirley, brother Ron, and granddaughter Alexa.
Bob had a deep love for the Lord and lived his life as an example of humility and grace. He had a gentle spirit and compassionate heart, always putting others first and meeting their needs. Even through his cancer battle he remained concerned about how everyone else was doing. He was an incredible man – kind, generous, loyal, funny, smart, organized, loving, and was a big hugger! He loved his family so well and we will miss him and his hugs dearly. We rejoice that Bob is fully healed now in his heavenly home and in the presence of Jesus.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 5th at 11:00 AM at Cherry Creek Presbyterian Church - 10150 E. Belleview Ave, Englewood, CO 80111.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating items to the Cherry Creek Presbyterian Food Pantry, a ministry close to Bob’s heart.
