Ronald Wayne Lone

Ronald Wayne Lone was born on February 13, 1943, in Shelvin, Minnesota, to Magnus and Esther (Parks) Lone. He was the ninth of ten children. The family lived in Minnesota until 1952, when they moved to Colorado for his father’s health.

Ron graduated from Englewood High School in 1961. He married Ruth Henne in 1963, and together they had three children: Karri, Vicki, and Eric.

Later in life, Ron married Carrol Paris and welcomed her two children, Laura and Ray, into his life, loving and considering them his own.

Ron worked in the sheet metal and sign industry for many years before retiring. He and Carrol loved traveling throughout the United States, with Florida holding a special place in their hearts, as it was where they spent their honeymoon.

Ron’s greatest joy was his family. He loved family gatherings and especially looked forward to the annual Lone family reunion and Thursday’s “Happy Hour.” To Ron, Happy Hour was about being surrounded by family, sharing conversation, laughter, and the gift of togetherness.

Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Magnus and Esther Lone; daughter Karri; son Eric; sisters Audrey and Barbara; brothers Gerald “Sonny Boy” and Larry; and extended family members.

He is survived by his wife, Carrol; children Vicki (Stanley) Crawford, Laura (Sean) Thorp, and Ray (Danielle) Paris; grandchildren Hank, Kacey (Skyonna), John “JR” (Kacie) Crawford, Taylor, Wesley Lone, Pattrick, Ashlie, Brandon, Leah Thorp, Toni (Bob Ross), Gabriella, and Stella Paris; and great-grandchildren Jackson, Charlie, Callan, Atlas, and Aspen Bauer, Olympia Webb, Davin, Ezra, Henry, and Ruthie Crawford.

He is also survived by his siblings Joann Shields, Jeanette Mischke, Marlys Grimm, Arnold Lone, and David Lone, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

Ron will be remembered most for his love of family, his enjoyment of good conversation and time spent together, and the many memories he created with those he loved.

A Memorial Service, "Final Happy Hour" will be held at Littleton United Methodist Church, 5894 S Datura, Littleton, CO 80120, on October 8, 2026, at 11:00 am.
