Ruth went to be with the Lord on August 20, 2016 following a brief illness. She was born to the late Guy and Mary Pratt on December 3, 1924 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She married Robert Hollopeter of Rockton, Pennsylvania on June 20th, 1943. They resided in Colorado for most of their married life.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hollopeter, sister, Lois Pratt, father, Guy Pratt, mother, Mary Pratt and son-in-law, Cliff Rhea. She leaves behind five children; Marilyn Rhea, Barbara Wagner (Gilbert), Bob Hollopeter (Sherry), Sharon Kostedt (Bert), Linda Campbell (Ron); ten grandchildren and thirty-four great grandchildren.
Ruth was a long time member of Bethel Baptist Church in Denver and Roswell Community Church in Colorado Springs. She worked at the May D & F department store before retiring in 1985. At the time of her passing, she resided at the Avemere Nursing Home in Brighton, Colorado.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 26, 2016 at 1 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2PM. All services will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd, Centennial, CO 80121. Burial will be held at 2:30 pm, Monday, August 29, 2016 in Fort Logan National Cemetery.
