Many knew Sam “The Man” as a generous friend, a hardworking boss and colleague, an inspiring mentor, or a dedicated teammate. Five were lucky enough to call him Brother, three lovingly called him Dad, two adoringly called him Pops, and one knew him as the love of her life. The biggest number of them all, however, is the amount of lives Sam was able to touch in his short 58 years. It is truly unmeasurable.
Everything Sam did or was involved with was always to the best of his ability with the highest level of dedication and integrity. His work ethic was truly unmatched as he would continue to challenge himself and others around him to successfully achieve goals that even he thought were too high. It was his spirit and determination that even after being diagnosed with Stage IV Terminal Pancreatic Cancer he fought through the pain to give us 13 more months with him. He loved life to the fullest and although he was taken from us too soon, we are so grateful for that time we had together and know that God has other plans for him. To say he will be missed is an understatement.
Sam has been in the HVAC industry since he was 15 years old. He owned and operated Colorado Climate Maintenance for 20 years alongside his wife, Pam. Sam completed his career with Turntide Technology, where he was awarded the MVP two years in a row. In January, Turntide honored Sam by naming the award after him which will be given to the MVP each year who not only excels in sales, but also exemplifies the company values that were reflected in Sam’s own qualities. Sam was also part of various owner’s groups that mentored one another and helped each of their companies maximize their potential. He loved sharing his skills and was eternally grateful for the advice he received in return.
His hobbies included playing hockey, jet skiing, surfing, snow skiing, fancy cars, tracking down In-N-Outs on any trip or vacation, and of course the Broncos.
Sam is survived by his wife, Pamela DeAngelis, married for 36 years, his Mom, Beverly DeAngelis, and his three children, Tamara DeAngelis, Krysta McClain and Travis DeAngelis with their spouses Casper, David and Megan. He is also survived by his two grandchildren, Addison and Brooks McClain, his three sisters, Linda, Debra, Tina and his brother Mike along with their families. The love Sam and Pam shared and the family they created together will never be forgotten. We will continue his legacy the best we can but know that we can never replace the impact he had on all of our lives. His memory will live on forever in our hearts. Sam and Pam will forever be remember as SPAM!
