Sam attended Englewood High School, graduating in the Class of 2015. During High School, Sam was recognized as Linebacker of the Year (2014), Outstanding US History Student (2014), and Outstanding Male Physical Education Student (2015). Active in his school and community, Sam was a Youth Leader at Forge Youth Center, a Christian Youth Theater member (2006-2015), and a Drummer in the Mosaic Church Music Band. Sam lived with his family in Bolingbrook, Illinois before moving to Centennial, Colorado. He was full of life and found passion in drumming, music, theatre, and hiking. For the last year, Sam worked for ShayCore Enterprises as a Millwright. He loved his job and his coworkers.
Sam was extremely personable and affectionate. Everyone who met him liked him… and everyone who knew him, loved him. Sam was a respectful young man- his firm handshake, direct eye contact and great smile made each person feel important. Sam loved people and poured into them. He was always empathetic to those around him. Sam was the best uncle to his eight nieces and nephews- always playing with or holding one of them, Sam loved them like they were his own. Sam was witty and loved to laugh. He was a light in all of our lives and will be greatly missed.
Samuel is survived by his parents, Steve and Morganne Vogel; his grandmother, Nita Wade; his siblings, Savannah (Doug) Spellman, Seleste (Jeremy) Sault, and Suzanne Vogel (Tyler Untisz); and his nieces and nephews, Liam, Ayleigh, Lochlan, Judah, Audrey, Raphaelle, Shia, and Cooper.
