Shirley Ann Heep, 78, of Centennial, CO died surrounded by family on August 14, 2022 after a long 2- year battle with brain cancer. She was born April 18, 1944, in Waynesburg, PA. Her parents are the late Willis and Mabel McCullough.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Tom Heep, and her children; Phil Heep, Bill Heep (wife Tiffany), Steve Heep (wife Dawn), Stan Heep (wife Leticia); her grandchildren; Ismerai McCarragher (husband Caleb), Kate Rose Jahn, Victoria Heep, Jacob Heep, Camden Heep and Tyler Heep; and her sisters; Lee Speicher and Louise King.
Shirley was united in marriage to Glenn Thomas Heep, on December 18, 1965, in Greensburg, PA at the Christian Church.
During her lifetime, she obtained a nursing diploma from Columbia Hospital school of nursing. Lived in Pittsburgh, PA until 1984 when the family moved to Littleton, CO. She then had a career in Insurance industry for Metlife and United Healthcare as a claims supervisor where she was able to continue to help and serve people.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She and Tom spent many days traveling and spending time together in the mountains whenever possible. A favorite was the Meeker sheep dog trials every summer or fishing trips to Ely, MN. She also loved going to her grandchildren's sporting events and never wanted to miss a game and cheer on the teams. Another passion was attending Skyview Presbyterian church where she gained many more loving friends.
A viewing will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Olinger - Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Centennial, CO on Friday, August 19th. The memorial service will be at 2:00 pm and be followed by burial. A celebration from approximately 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm in the reception hall.
