

Shirley’s most cherished relationship was with her beloved husband, Kenneth Stokes. They met on a blind date, a meeting that would forever change their lives. They were married 71 wonderful years together, building a life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect.
In her professional life, Shirley served as the Western Region Equal Opportunity Officer for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife department, where she worked diligently until her retirement.
Shirley was a woman of strong faith, and her love for the Bible and Bible study was a central part of her life. She found great comfort and purpose in her spiritual journey and was a devoted member of her church community, where she made lasting friendships and offered support to those around her.
She is survived by her loving husband, Kenneth, along with a host of family members and friends who will deeply miss her kindness, wisdom, and unwavering faith. Shirley’s legacy will live on through the love she shared, the example she set, and the memories she created with all who knew her.
Shirley Jane Stokes touched many lives with her grace, love, and devotion. She will be remembered fondly and missed dearly by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
