
Terrie graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in Denver in 1963 and proceeded to continue her education earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Western State College (Gunnison, Co) graduating in 1967. She also earned a post graduate degree in Chicago, IL.
Terrie spent many years teaching at several Navajo reservation schools in the U.S. where she developed her love of teaching and working with children. She also taught school in Georgetown and Denver, Colorado. After retiring from teaching, Terrie decided that she would like to foster children in order to help make the lives of those young children better and more fulfilled, and oftentimes kept in touch with the girls until they grew up and had children of their own. In later years, Terrie worked in the child care industry until her retirement.
Much of Terrie’s life has been enriched by her faith in the lord.
Terrie is survived by Kim (James) Greenzweig (sister), Cheryl Smith (step-sister), Dean (Jana) Carr (step-brother) and Kathy Theurer (sister in law). She is Preceded in death by Russell Theurer (father), Norma “Judy” Theurer (mother), Martha Theurer (step mother), Steve Theurer (brother) and Mark (Lyndel) Theurer (brother) and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Celebration of Life will be held in late August in the town of Georgetown Colorado which fulfills Terrie’s wishes.
