Tom was born to Maxine and Fred Butler on June 23rd, 1952. He worked as a glass cutter for most of his life. He married Karola (Kay) on June 23, 1979. Together, they had a son, Thomas (Thom) Wayne Butler Jr. on January 2, 1989.
Tom enjoyed time in nature, gatherings with family and friends, working on his 1979 Oldsmobile and spending time with family.
Tom is survived by his wife Karola and his son Thom, his brother in law, Stephen and his wife Tara, and his brothers in law Gunter and Lutz, his sister in law Doris and her husband Bo, and his cousin Tom and his wife, Gloria. He was preceded in death by his siblings Coy, Fred Jr., Felicia, and Arlene.
Special thanks go out to the nurses and CNA's with Elevation Hospice Services, who contributed to the end of his life with kindness and compassion. Thanks also go out to his private caregivers who took care of him during his illness.
The family is holding a memorial service at Mt. Lindo, on April 11, 2026 at noon, at the mausoleum.
