Thomas Leo Tedrow was born on August 23, 1929 to Jess Tedrow and Grace Brunson on a farm in North English, Iowa. He attended local schools and after graduating, joined the Army during the Korean Conflict. There he specialized in radiology. Upon returning from duty, he worked at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa. At the hospital, he met the love of his life, Angela, who was attending nursing school. On February 16, 1953 they joined together in marriage. Later he attended Drake University. In 1963, he moved to Littleton, Colorado with his wife and their 3 children. They built a wonderful life together. In 1991, after 28 years, he retired from Martin Marietta and dedicated his time to his family and travelling.
He loved camping in the mountains, fishing, hiking, bicycling, and watching the Broncos. Throughout his life, he had many pet dogs and held a special place in his heart for each one of them. Since 1963, he was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Littleton, Colorado. He volunteered in the credit union, food bank, and with the resettlement of Vietnamese immigrants. He was also a dedicated member of the Littleton Elks Lodge #1650. He was Chaplain in the Chairs, won the state contest and went to the national contest in Houston. He was also a member of the Martin Marietta MARS Retirees Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Angela Tedrow; his children Paul Tedrow of Niwot, Colorado, Cathy Hutchison (Kevin Main) of Tonopah, Arizona, and Tom Tedrow (Beth) of Snellville, Georgia; his grandchildren, Dan, Dave, and Julie Tedrow (their mother Carol), Charles Hutchison and Evan Tedrow; and his great grandchildren, Byron and Kira Tedrow, Cody and AB Hutchison.
