Tierney Ann Dwyer graced the heavens with her presence on the evening of March 18th, 2019 while traveling on spring break with her family in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. She was born in Denver, Colorado, on July 1, 2002.
Tierney, a junior at St. Mary's Academy, was a stunningly beautiful young lady who filled the lives of her friends and family with joy, laughter and continuous smiles. Described at an early age as a “live wire,” Tierney was full of curiosity and eager to try new “adventures.” From the time she could first speak, she was equally at ease speaking with adults as well as her peers. Her ability to simply light up a room with her presence was a trait that no relative or friend will ever forget. Tierney was the light that shined brightly and made all feel welcomed and loved.
Tierney and her brothers shared a unique bond and closeness that was only growing stronger as they ventured into their teenage years together. The three of them supported each other with love and friendship that was unmistakably visible. As teenagers, they had their mischievous moments, but those are the laughable memories we will now cherish forever.
Most of all, Tierney was bright and beautiful, vivacious and a caring friend to others. She was kind to those less fortunate and was described by her peers as “the one” who was always empathetic to fellow classmates who she observed might need a friend. For these qualities, she will certainly never, ever be forgotten.
She will be dearly missed by her parents, Mark D. Dwyer and Kelly J. Dwyer, and brothers, Paxton D. Dwyer, and TJ Hubble, all of Centennial; her grandparents, Mary Jo Phelps of Leawood, Kansas, David E. Dwyer and Kathryn M. Dwyer of Fort Collins, Colorado, and Judy and Henry Hall of Mattoon, Illinois; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her natural mother, Lara Ann Phelps Dwyer and her grandfather, Michael D. Phelps.
Services for Tierney will be held on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at 11am at Mission Hills Church. (620 Southpark Dr., Littleton, CO 80120). Private family burial to follow.
Tierney had a heart for giving to others and taking care of people when they needed it most. She will forever be remembered for doing "random acts of kindness." In her honor, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Academy in Tierney's name or that you simply do a random act of kindness for someone else in Tierney's honor.
