Viola Mae Krebs

January 27, 1924 – March 27, 2013

Viola was born in Spencer, Nebraska on January 27, 1924. She was the first of two children (Viola and Delores) born to Henry and Rosa Bowers. She met her future husband, Homer, while working at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center. They were married for 67 years until Homer’s death in October 2007. Viola was a devoted homemaker who valued the importance of family life and lived knowing that the heart of the home is love.

Viola is preceded in death by her husband, Homer and one child, Franklin. She is survived by:

4 Children: Beverly LeCates (Burt), Charles Krebs (Sue), Linda Riese, and Fred Krebs (Debra).

10 Grandchildren: Robert LeCates, Bonnie LeCates, Bernie LeCates, Brian Krebs, Jennifer Hamilton, Kevin Krebs, Kimberly Lautermilch, Jamie Smith, Katie Kachelries, and Blair Krebs.

16 Great-Grandchildren: Danielle LeCates, Kandyce LeCates, Gabrielle LeCates, MeagAnn LeCates, Molly LeCates, Melanie LeCates, Brandon Krebs, Megan Krebs, Abbigale Hamilton, Benjamin Hamilton, Charlie Krebs, Cameron Krebs, Cailey Krebs, Madelyn Smith, Mallory Kachelries, and Zachary Kachelries.
