Vivian was born in Denver, Colorado to Alma and Alvy Adams. She had one older sister, Evelyn. She graduated from South High School in Denver.
She was married to James Roberts and had a daughter, Jeanette. She later remarried to Hugh G. Currie and had a son, Bruce. During this time Vivian and family lived in California while Hugh was in the Marines and later moved backed to Denver. After divorcing Hugh, Vivian lived with daughter Jeanette shortly before getting her own small apartment in central Denver.
Later in life, she remarried again to Harold Simonson and they moved from Denver to Durango, Colorado where they opened “Kimberley Shoe Store” on Main Street. Throughout the years they moved to Albuquerque, N.M., Farmington, N.M., Grand Junction, CO then finally settled Arizona. They spent 25 years in Mesa, AZ together until Hal’s death in 2001. Vivian remained in Arizona until 2008 when she returned to Colorado.
During her life she held various jobs including the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad, the Denver Dry, and the Gold Key gift shop where she was the store decorator. While married to Hal, she worked at the various shoe stores that they owned.
She is survived by daughter Jeanette Evans and son in law Larry Zentz, 5 grandchildren (Jeff, Kim, Heather, Jill, and Carolyn), and 7 great-grandchildren, a nephew and niece (Craig and Toby Ledford).
