

Wanda Jo Adams, more commonly known as Jody, passed away at home surrounded by family and people who cared for her, the morning of February 2, 2011 in Denver, Colorado. Jody was born September 14, 1928 in Clyde, Texas to Archie and Duckie Pee. When she turned 18 her father gave his blessing for her to marry her high school sweetheart, Bobby Drue Adams on her birthday in 1946. Together they raised five children. Their family moved several times to accommodate Bob's career with the El Paso Natural Gas Company. The majority of their lives were spent in El Paso and Odessa, Texas, with an 11 year stay in Farmington, New Mexico.
Jody was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Her husband, Bobby, preceded her in death less than a year ago on Easter Sunday, 2010. She is also preceded in death by her son, Michael Drue Adams, who died while serving in the Vietnam War. She is survived by her children, Julie Adams, Jerry Adams, Lisa Gooden Greenwood and Laurie Adams; as well as her grandchildren, Kelsey Gooden and Jared Adams. She will be dearly missed.
Family and friends will gather for visitation at Olinger Chapel Hill Mortuary & Cemetery, 6601 S. Colorado Blvd in Littleton, Tuesday, February 8th beginning at 4:00 p.m. A Vigil and recitation of the Rosary will begin at 6:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at The Church of the Risen Christ, 3060 S. Monaco in Denver, Wednesday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. Following Mass, Jody will be laid to rest with her husband in the Aspen Park Estates at Olinger Chapel Hill Cemetery.
