William was born November 18, 1932 in Pawhuska, Oklahoma. He earned graduate degrees from Oklahoma State University and University of Oklahoma School of Medicine. William is survived by his wife, Kate Ann; two daughters, Rachel Swanson and husband Scott of Scottsdale, Arizona, Virginia Hrywnak and husband George of Boulder, Colorado, one son Jonathan Palmer and wife Erin of Chicago, Illinois, grandchildren, Sophia and Anna Hrywnak and Samuel Swanson.
