

He was a 1949 graduate of Central High School when upon graduating, he made the decision to serve his country and joined the U.S. Marine Corp where he served in the Korean War.
After his service, he went on to earn a degree in Civil Engineering from the prestigious Purdue University.
Being very diligent, detailed, driven and highly valued, his career at the Andrew Corporation was very important to him.
Bill’s life was filled with adventure as he enjoyed sky diving, skiing, physical fitness, and hiking. He was also an avid reader and the Kansas City Chiefs #1 FAN.
He married the love of his life, Darlyne Welker in Tucson, AZ on October 24, 1987 and has spent the last 34 years building a wonderful life together.
Bill is preceded in death by his 2 sons, Michael and Scott and his daughter in law Kathy Weist.
He is survived by 2 children, Robert Weist of South Carolina and Diane Paul of Kansas.
Bill has 2 grandchildren, Jennifer Swank, Chris Weist and wife Ginny. He has 4 great grandchildren Brianna and Courtney Swank, and Lyla and Zoey Gerasimchik, his step family David, Pam and Kathy Welker, step grandchildren Addison and Ian Welker.
To his family, Bill will be remembered as a devoted Christian man who was a caring and loving husband, father and grandfather and friend.
A Private Family Service for Bill will be held at Olinger Chapel Hill. Private Burial will take place at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
