Wilma was such a sweet woman with a beautiful smile.   Wilma was our very dedicated and Responsible Ward Clerk in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit  (PICU) at Childrens Hospital in the 1980's and 1990's.  She was the Best!  Always eager to help the children, she helped we Nurses in the most efficient delivery of the Orders written by the Doctors, so we could efficiently deliver that care.  I can still see her in my mind walking fast and gathering supplies for us, and helping the families at the Main Window.   Those memories will indeed stay with us for many years.  I often gave her a ride home after work, which was late at night.  She was just so appreciative and loved her Condo there near Casa Bonita.   She was just such a JOY to work with and be a friend with!  And yes, she adored her neighbors and her little CAT.  We were all better human beings for having dear sweet Wilma in our lives.....

Dear Mom,

   I wanted you to know that I will miss and always love you.. and that I am with Vicki now, and I think that I will be O.k.  I was a little scared at first without you, but I have 2 brothers now, Jake and Clay, and I am getting comfortable being here with them. I will always love you and will wait for the day that we can be together again.. but please dont worry about me.. I think that I am loved, and will be taken care of.. I want you to be happy in heaven.. Thank you for taking care of me.. You will always be my Mommy.

I want to offer my condolences to the family of Wilma Roach. She was my best friend at Plaza Del Lago, and she will be truly missed by me and my family. We were inseperable. When she was in better health, we took many walks around the Plaza and my little westie dog, Bandit and her cat Sam, would always walk together too. I would always wait with her at the bus stop when she would be going to her sister's, to go to the Butcher block Resturant on Fridays or going to her senior meetings downtown. We were each others confidants. I will miss cooking for her on the Holidays, like Christmas and Thanksgiving, or preparing special foods she liked, like Tacos or enchiladas. Her favorite breakfast was going to Mcdonalds for an egg McMuffin. She would always be coming to visit me or me visiting her.
   In the winter's, you could find her shoveling the sidewalks with her little shovel. I would always tell her, "Go inside, it's cold out here", but if  you knew Wilma, she was a very independent and strong Woman with great strength,and a mind of her own. I know she is truly loved and will be missed by all of her friends at Plaza Del Lago, and it was a privilege to have known her.. With Love from Vicki Marquez

I recently moved to Lakewood in January 2011. Wilma was the first person that I met.. I was overcome by her love for her cat, Sam. She rescued Sam, after he had been left by neighbors. Wilma was a sensitive and sweet woman, and I wish that I had gotten to know her better. I will remember her sensitivity, independence, and her love for Sam.. I will be taking Sam, and hope that I can give him the happiness that he had with Wilma..I know that your spirit continues to live on and that you have found peace... I miss you..Victoria Sprague

I first met Wilma seven years ago, when I moved to Plaza del Lago.  She always wore a smile on her face, and offered friendly greetings to whomever she encountered.  I thoroughly enjoyed the conversations that we shared over the years, will miss having her as my neighbor ... Norma Carlone

Wilma was one of the sweetest ladies I had the pleasure of knowing
we had a lot of fun shopping trips to King Sooper's on Saturdays.

Roger and I met Wilma  in May of 2000.  Roger had taken my mom and me to visit my Aunt Ginny and Uncle Eddie for my 50th birthday.  What a wonderful trip that was.  Not only did I get to be with my favorite aunt and uncle, I met some very dear people, Wilma and Cliff, as well as Sandy and Danny.  I really did not keep up with them as I did with my aunt and uncle.  When Aunt Ginny became ill  in 2012 I began to talk with Wilma and really enjoyed our conversations.  She was so interesting to talk with.  We will miss her, but know it is only temporary as we will be together again in Heaven.  It is comforting to know she is with her dear loved ones who I know she really missed ,especially Ginny, her sister. 
God bless and comfort her dear loved ones here and know she will be missed by us as well.
