Andrew Charles Pike

Andrew Charles Pike passed away at his home in Ivoryton, Connecticut at the young age of 36. He leaves behind his loving parents, Sue and Charlie Pike, his sister Chelsea Krzeminski, brother in-law Andrew Krzeminski, his Aunt Charlot, and his cousin and close friend Meagan Pike. Andrew also leaves behind his grade school friend of many years, Louis Church, whose young children lovingly knew him as Uncle Andrew. Also left navigating a world without Andrew is the family cat Little Bit, his beloved pet Spaz, the bearded dragon and lastly, his dog and closest companion, Loki.

Andrew was preceded in death by his mentor and friend, Jerry Clark, a man he held close in his heart, his adolescent friend JJ Peloquin, who never left his mind. As well as his rabbit Bubba and his bestest boy Ben.

Andrew marched to the tune of his own drum, loudly, preferably with retro amps, wherever he went. He lived life eclectically and boldly. In a people pleasing world, Andrew was always himself. Andrew had many talents and with that he left his mark in many communities. He was a gear head from a young age, with bicycles, tractors, mopeds, automobiles of all kinds, and anything that would burn rubber. With his 1962 Mercury Meteor, being his pride and joy. There also wasn’t an electronic he couldn’t fix. Andrew loved nature, being on the river and cruising down dirt roads. He landscaped professionally and did so with heart and pride. Andrew’s clients were very important to him, not as customers, but as people. Andrew’s love for animals started as an infant, with the family cats, Fuzzy and Kitty and later in life, the family dog Angel. Andrew, known to many as Diogee, was a proud member of the furry community. A community that gave him a place to truly be himself without judgement and enjoy the company of other like-minded souls.

We will remember Andrew for his determination to find light in the darkness. We will remember his kind nature, his giggly laugh, his ability to be himself wherever he went, his unwavering love for animals, and his dislike of places that were just too peoplely.

A Public Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21 from 5 to 7 PM at the Robinson, Wright & Weymer Funeral Home, 34 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT. To honor Andrew, guests are encouraged to dress comfortably and casually and "come as you are".
