

David Earl Collins, age 86 of White House, Tennessee passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at his home. He was born April 10, 1939 in Danbury, Connecticut to Earl David and Margaret Florence (Shanley) Collins.
David proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Hendersonville. When he was younger, he enjoyed coaching basketball and baseball. He loved attending activities with his grandchildren. David owned Collins Barbershop in Danbury, Connecticut for over 25 years. Then, he owned Collins Barbershop in Conway, South Carolina for several more years before retiring in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Darlene (Perusse) Collins, White House, TN; sons, David (Sherrill) Collins, Jr., Ivoryton, CT and Michael Collins, Myrtle Beach, SC; daughter, Maureen (Jeffrey) McGuire, White House, TN; 3 grandchildren, Taylor McGuire, Kristen (John) Rogers and Caleigh (Andrew) Grasso.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at 11:00am at Saint Gregory the Great Church, 85 Great Plain Road in Danbury. Burial will follow in Saint Peter Cemetery, 71 Lake Avenue Ext. in Danbury.
