Brown and Josephine Teart; five grandchildren (Jaime, Tiara, Tyler, Travis, and Justin), one great-grandson Jaime, Jr.), and one loving goddaughter, Hattie White. She is preceded in death by her sister, Daphne Hunter, Brother, Oliver R. Brown, and grandson, Seth Lewis. She leaves her many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and patients, who all loved her dearly.
Fernanda Patricia Manning attended Old Saybrook High School and later graduated at the top of her class as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She worked as a Respiratory Nurse at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, New London, CT, a Geriatric Nurse at Old Saybrook Convalescent Nursing Home, Old Saybrook, CT, a Hospice Nurse at Branford Hospice, Branford, CT, and she cared for many private-duty patients. Fernanda was fondly known as “Pat” and everyone who was honored to know her immediately loved her. She was a highly trained nurse who specialized in providing excellent nursing care to all patients she encountered. She was kind, compassionate, warm-hearted, and caring to everyone, especially to her patients. Shared moments and precious time spent with her family were extremely important to her and gave her the greatest joy in her life.
A beautiful limb has fallen from our family tree, but her memory is our keepsake. God has her in His keeping, but we have her in our hearts forever.
